- What does the $15.00 adult ticket include?
A “featured” tasting, bands performing throughout the day, wagon tours of the vineyard, wagon shuttle, kite demonstrations and a self-guided cave tour.
- Is there a reduced fee for adults who will not be drinking wine?
The $15 ticket fee is for all adults even those adults who will not be tasting wine.
- How do I get from the main parking lot to Admissions?
A wagon shuttle will be available in the main parking lot to bring you to Admissions. You are also welcome to walk across the dam road to a secondary Admissions tent (follow signs).
- Can I purchase a case (or two) of wine and how can I get it to my car?
We will be happy to assist you with your purchases and Tarara staff will deliver the wine cases directly to your car.
- Which wines will we be sampling?
New Release of Tarara’s 2007 Pinot Gris, along with 2006 Charval, 2006 Cameo, 2005 Merlot, 2005 Cabernet Franc, 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon, and Tarara’s 2006 Wild River Red.
- What is a reserve tasting ticket?
For an additional $5.00 you will sample wines from our “reserve” line – New Release of Tarara’s 2007 Viognier, along with 2006 Chardonnay, 2005 Pinot Noir, 2004 Merlot Reserve, 2004 Cabernet Franc Reserve, and Tarara’s 2004 Meritage. These tickets may be purchased in advance at Tarara’s on-line store, at Admissions or at the Reserve Tasting Tent.
- What wine discounts are available during the festival?
15% off 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2005 Merlot
- Are there special accommodations for “Estate Wine Club Members”?
Tarara’s Estate Wine Club Members will be hosted in an exclusive VIP tent with great visibility to the stage with VIP parking. Reservations must be made in advance.
- Will the festival be held if there is a chance of rain?
Our festivals and concerts are held rain or shine.
- Can I bring a picnic?
You are welcome to bring a picnic, however, no outside alcohol is allowed on Tarara property as stated by VA laws. Coolers will be inspected at Admissions.
- Will food be available for purchase?
Fabulous food vendors will be on site.
- Can I bring beer or other alcohol to the festival?
No outside alcohol is allowed on Tarara property as stated by VA laws. Coolers will be inspected at Admissions.
- Can I bring my pet?
No pets (of any size) are allowed during the festivals. Dogs are welcomed at Tarara on non-festival and non-concert days.
- What accommodations would you recommend?
Lansdowne Resort is 16 miles from Tarara Winery.

- Is the retail room open during the festival?
The retail room will be open for wine sales only. All tastings will occur on the festival grounds with an Admissions ticket.
- Directions
From Leesburg, VA – From the intersection of Route 7 and Route 15, follow Route 15 North approximately 10 miles to the Village of Lucketts. Take a right onto Route 662. Follow Route 662 for 3 miles to Tarara Winery entrance on the left. Follow directional signs on the property for vendor check-in.
From Point of Rocks, MD – Take Route 15 South for approximately 3 miles. Turn left onto Route 658. At the stop sign turn left onto Route 662. Follow Route 662 for 1 mile to Tarara Winery entrance on the left. Follow directional signs on the property for vendor check-in.
- What should I wear?
Casual, comfortable clothes. You may want to bring sun screen and wear a hat.
- What should I bring?
ID, cash (an ATM will be available on the festival grounds), kids, lawn blankets, coolers (not outside alcohol however), camera and be ready to have a fabulous time!
- Asparagus is available to pick while the supply lasts – how much does it cost?
$2.00/lb.

Norm Weaver, bagpiper will be performing on Saturday from 11-1:30pm

- Which forms of payment are accepted?
American Express, Visa, Discover and Cash. An ATM will be available during the festival.
- Will there be children’s activities at the festival?
A moon bounce (compliments of Ashburn Rental), crafts and face painting (by Michael Horne on Sunday from 1:30-3:30) at the family zone. Kite flying demonstrations – bring your kite or buy a kite from Sky Jewel Kites. Kite making classes will be offered for $5.
